Benefits

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf ("The Company") offers a generous
benefit plan to our eligible Team Members (employees).

Medical

The Company offers an affordable and comprehensive health care plan. The plan covers a range of services including doctor visits, hospitalization and prescription drug programs.

Dental

The Company offers 2 dental plans that help pay for a range of dental services and is designed to encourage regular, preventive treatment. One plan is a dental PPO plan that provides both in-network and out-of-network benefits. The other plan is a dental HMO plan that provides only in-network benefits

Vision Insurance

This plan covers an annual exam and provides an annual allowance for glasses and contact lenses.

 

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Our Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts allow Team Members to have money deducted from their pay on a pre-tax basis to be used for eligible out-of-pocket expenses. This program allows Team Members to reduce their income taxes and increase discretionary income for expenses such as medical and dental plan co-payments and day care.

Disability Protection

The Company provides a plan which offers, after a 3 month waiting (or "elimination") period, income replacement of 60% (up to a maximum of $10,000 per month) for long-term disability.

Life Insurance

The amount of life insurance Team Members are eligible to receive is based on their annual base compensation and job classification. In addition to receiving group term life insurance, Team Members may elect additional supplemental life insurance coverage for themselves, their spouse/partner and children.

 

Retirement Plan

To help Team Members save for retirement, the Company offers a 401(k) plan that includes a Company match of 100% on the 1st 3% of compensation and 50% on the next 2% of compensation. Team Members must have 1 year of staff service to receive Company matching contributions.

Pre-Paid Legal Services Plan

The Company provides Team Members the opportunity to purchase pre-paid legal services through MetLaw/Hyatt. The program provides Team Members with a network of contracted attorneys who can represent them in a variety of legal matters.

Team Member Perks and Work-life Programs

The Company provides various perquisites through a variety of programs and services to help enhance the lives of eligible Team Members (employees) and help them achieve a balance between their work and home lives.

How do I apply to store hourly positions at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf?

Each The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf retail store independently hires and manages its own part time and full time team members. To be considered for employment, you must complete our online application by visiting the Career section of our website.

What is the minimum age requirement to work at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf?

You must be at least 16 years old to be eligible for employment at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. If you are under the age of 18, you are required to submit a work permit. However, if you are under the age of 18 but have graduated from high school, you must submit a copy of your diploma.

After I apply online, how soon will I be contacted?

If you meet our qualifications, you should expect to be contacted within a few days. You are always welcome to contact the store that you are interested in as well.

Can I apply to more than one retail store?

Currently our online application only allows you to select one location. In the event that you are interested in being considered for multiple locations, please contact the store that you applied to and ask them to pool your application. You are also welcome to apply to each store individually.
