From tree to bag. This premier coffee is hand picked by workers on small family owned farms in the state of Nariño, on the Pacific Coast in Colombia. The farmers take great pride in growing, picking, and preparing their products by hand. We take great pride in offering you the results of their hard work. Their dedication pays off in a balanced, bright cup of coffee, richly aromatic with a creamy body.

Profile: Full creamy body with well-balanced flavor and full rich aroma.
Place: The State of Narino, Southern Colombia. Grown in all of the communities surrounding the active Galeras volcano, on slopes whose elevation often rises above 6,000 feet.
People: The people of Southern Colombia are very warm-hearted and friendly. They have been committed to coffee farming over many generations. Their farms are small, and the families themselves comprise the labor with occasional help from their neighbors.
Process: Due to the large growing area and extended crop cycle, coffees are washed, fermented and dried by the individual farmers. Once enough coffee is collected, it is taken to Trilladora Narino in the city of Pasto for final processing, sorting and grading.
Pairing: Fresh bananas, peaches or nectarines. Honey raisin bran muffin, oatmeal raisin cookie.
  •   8 oz: Makes approximately 25 cups of coffee
  • 12 oz: Makes approximately 35-40 cups of coffee
  • 16 oz: Makes approximately 50 cups of coffee
  • 20 oz: Makes approximately 60-65 cups of coffee
  • 32 oz: Makes approximately 90-100 cups of coffee
BREWING TIP: Use cold, filtered water and a clean machine.
GRIND only as much as you need for one cup or one pot of coffee.
CHOOSE the correct grind. Fine for espresso, medium for automatic drip, coarse for French Press.
MEASURE ground coffee to taste. Start with two level tablespoons of ground coffee per six ounces of cold filtered or bottled water.
STORE in an airtight container to protect the flavor and aroma and ensure rich, fresh tasting coffee. Do not freeze or refrigerate.
We source our coffee from the best family coffee farms around the world and buy only the top 1% of Arabica Beans.

We hand roast our coffee daily in small batches to a traditional, smooth taste profile. This is the way we've done it since 1963, when we opened our first store in Brentwood, CA.

I haven't actually tried the coffee that was sent to me. I ordered Narino. I was sent a basic Columbian package (wrong stuff). I complained, they sent me a new package which was exactly the same. Either their product/bar code is labelled incorrectly and/or they have inept people working in their warehouse. Either way. I didn't get what I wanted and if its that difficult to send me the correct item then I don't need to order anything else. I guess I will enjoy this Columbian coffee as I am sure it is good, but not what i wanted or ordered. Buyer beware!

Comments about The Coffee Bean Colombia Nariño Coffee:

Most useful comment I can make is for "The Coffee Bean" to show the color of the finished product on it's website. Willoughby's Coffee does. They're my tried and true and I strayed from the path. My mistake. If you don't like dark roast, medium dark roast or light dark roast, yes, confusing isn't it, you'll see it and know you don't want it. By the way, no exchange, no return policy so you're stuck with it. But, I will not make this mistake again.

I have been a coffee drinker since age 2, with my grandmother. The product is so-so. I rate it to be too expensive for the quality.

Comments about The Coffee Bean Colombia Nariño Coffee:

Coffee from this region of Colombia is cultivated in volcanic soil - it is extremely smooth and tastes best when prepared on the lighter side (it is not meant to be a dark roast). This allows you to experience the aroma and taste best. We are thoroughly enjoying this CBTL offering and will continue to order as long as it's available.

I AM NOT AN AVID COFFEE DRINKER UNTIL THERE IS A FALL CHILL IN THE AIR. HOWEVER, MY HUSBAND DRINKS COFFEE YEAR-ROUND. I FOUND THE COFFEE BEAN AND TEA LEAF ON LINE AND HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH SEVERAL PRODUCTS FROM THEIR LINE. I HAVE ORDERED SEVERAL DIFFERENT COFFEES AND HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED.

Comments about The Coffee Bean Colombia Nariño Coffee:

I have a been a huge fan of CoffeeBean for many years and was disappointed to learn there aren't any (or just one, too many miles away) locations here in South Florida, so I ordered online. I thought this Medium coffee was a lot closer to a weaker "breakfast blend" or something similar. It smells really good and the taste is also good but it comes out a bit watery and weak, for my taste, considering its graded Medium level. I might order a dark one next time.
