When it comes to non-dairy milk, we provide the usual options you’d expect, like almond, coconut, soy, and an almond-coconut blend. But this winter, there’s a new kid on the block – oat milk. It’s the latest trendy vegan milk that’s popping up everywhere, including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®. It’s made by blending oats with water and then straining it with a cheesecloth. At our locations, we serve Oatly Barista Edition, which delivers a creamy texture that creates the perfect foam for our seasonal beverages. Ask to swap regular milk with oat milk for your next order and enjoy its thick, creamy goodness.
Vanilla Bean Sauce
Our signature French Deluxe™ Vanilla Powder is the key ingredient that gives a full, decadent flavor to our vanilla beverages. The only problem is that the powder contains nonfat dry milk. Don’t let this dampen your holiday spirit! Our vanilla bean sauce makes a delicious non-dairy alternative for iced or hot lattes. While it does have honey, it doesn't have dairy, making it a great non-dairy alternative flavor. However, we don’t recommend the vanilla bean sauce for Ice Blended® drinks.
Nothing captures the essence of the holidays quite like peppermint and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® fully embraces this festive flavor. Our Peppermint Vanilla Lattes are a perfect combination of rich creaminess and refreshing peppermint. Just replace the dairy with oat milk and vanilla powder for vanilla bean sauce to satisfy your dairy-free needs. You can drink this seasonal treat iced, hot, or as a cold brew.
Holiday shopping can get hectic, and sometimes, you need an extra pick-me-up to knock out your to-do list. That’s where our classic flat white comes into play. Offering an extra shot of espresso than our lattes, it’s a perfect velvety beverage to perk yourself up during the holiday season. To make our flat white vegan-friendly, substitute the dairy with your favorite non-dairy milk (we recommend the oat milk). If you’re in the mood for something slightly sweet without the dairy, we suggest adding our vanilla bean sauce (and peppermint or a sprinkle of cinnamon, if you’re wanting a more festive shopping companion.)
Winter Dream Tea® Latte
Our Winter Dream Tea® latte is a perennial holiday favorite at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® and you can enjoy it dairy-free! Just ask for oat milk and substitute vanilla bean sauce for vanilla powder. It’s sweet and spicy on its own, but a sprinkle of cinnamon at the condiment bar adds a little extra cheer on your first foamy sip.
Santa shouldn’t be the only one who gets to indulge in cookies during the holidays. Although our Cookie Butter Latte can’t be made vegan, the cookie crumbs that get sprinkled on top are a great non-dairy (and vegan) addition to any oat milk latte.
